Restrictions on gatherings in Ohio continue to preclude an Annual Meeting for our Association. It appears likely we will not be able to meet until next year.
The Board has conducted virtual meetings to approve some expenditures, establish rules for opening the pool, and discuss the 2020 Reserve Study.
It was the Board’s intention to present the results of the 2020 Reserve Study at the April Annual Meeting. Owners who have been here for the past 5 years
are aware of the capital improvement projects accomplished based upon the 2016 study. Those included work at the pool and tennis court, replacement of sidewalks,
catch basin repairs, curb repairs and street paving. Capital asset maintenance and improvements are not only good for your investment; the Association
is legally bound to plan and do the work. The periodic reserve study becomes the planning foundation. The 2020 Reserve Study will be posted on the Association web site.
The clubhouse remains closed for the foreseeable future. Given this situation, the Board has decided to accelerate an upgrade of the clubhouse.
We are in the process of finalizing the upgrade plan which will involve new flooring, cabinetry, counter tops, appliances and paint. The bulk of the current interior is
30 years old and it’s time to make these improvements. Social Committee members, the Clubhouse Coordinator and a couple of our owners who are interior decorators
have been involved in the process. The final product will be a first class facility.
Finally, The Estates has not been immune to Covid-19. You are well aware of our county’s level 3 “red” status. Be safe!
