Recycle Bin Pick-up January 19th

As previously announced, the Association no longer funds recycling.  Waste Management has scheduled recycle bin removal for Wednesday, January 19th. Owners currently have one of two types of bins.  A laundry basket sized bin or a larger toter on wheels. Waste Management will only pick up the wheeled toter.  They are no longer using the laundry basket size and any owners with this size should mark them to be taken as trash and set them on the curb for removal on the normal trash day. The toters, need to be emptied and set on the curb on the night of the 18th so they’ll be ready for removal on Wednesday morning.

If you have contacted Waste Management for a continuation of self-paid recycling keep your bin/toter.

January 19th Board Meeting Cancelled

The previously announced January 19th Board meeting at the clubhouse is cancelled.  The Board intends to meet virtually due to current Covid issues and minimal agenda items.  There will be no committee or club reports.  Minutes of the virtual meeting will be distributed to owners via email.

Dear Owner,

It was announced at the October 2021 Board of Directors Meeting that we will cease Association funded recycling as of January 1, 2022.  Waste Management will continue as our contractor for trash collection on Wednesdays.  As soon as we are notified regarding the turn in process for recycle bins we will send out an email to all owners.

If you want to continue recycling through Waste Management you can do so as an individual customer.  This arrangement would be similar to your gas and electric service and not affiliated with the Association or Towne Properties.  If you want to pursue this option you can contact Waste Management customer service at 800-343-6047.  A recent check with Waste Management indicated that individual unit service would be bi-weekly at a cost of $26 paid quarterly or $96 paid annually.
