Estates at Willow Creek Condominium Owners Association Members,

The Estates is a unique community with many of our members participating in a wide variety of activities that benefit the association and each member. Those who lead our committees and clubs are both the beneficiaries and the workers making it all happen for all those interested members. With all the activities and maintenance and operations requirements, we’ve still managed to keep our fees relatively low and our community beautiful and desired by a continuing flow of buyers. This fact is clearly demonstrated by the relatively short time units remain on the market.

It has been my honor to have served as President of the Estates Board of Directors for the last seven years and as a board member for nine years. These years have offered me a rewarding challenge that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Those of you have been here for those nine years are fully aware of the challenges the board has faced. Two that stand out are dealing with a previous property manager’s fraud and managing a $3 Million hail damage insurance claim.

Through it all, association members have voted to keep the same board members in place for most of my tenure. Your confidence is appreciated but your participation would be even more so.
We have an Annual Meeting coming up in a couple of weeks and need more members to stand up and accept the challenges associated with board membership. I encourage each of you to seriously consider serving the association in this regard. We are all volunteers so the “pay” isn’t really great – but you are guaranteed the reward of getting to know your neighbors better and understanding the significance of critical decision making on their behalf.
